How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Choose a DRM-free MOBI or AZW3 ebook from this device.
  2. Let the pinned browser parser read its metadata and chapter structure locally.
  3. Review the result and download the generated text, HTML, EPUB, report, or cover file.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

Recover an unencrypted KF8/AZW3 reading order as one sanitized, standalone HTML document with local images embedded.

Scripts, remote resources, embedded fonts, and Kindle-only styling are removed. Fixed-layout and highly styled books will not match the original reader presentation.

Lucaden uses the MIT-licensed foliate-js parser at an immutable GitHub commit for legacy MOBI and KF8/AZW3 input. TinyWow is credited only as a feature-parity reference; its application code is not copied.
