How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Add text plus a search and replacement value to the private browser workspace.
  2. Choose the available settings and create the replaced text and match count.
  3. Review the result, then copy or download it before leaving the page.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Review generated output before using it in production. Formatters and converters can validate structure, but they cannot understand every application-specific rule or guarantee that transformed content has the intended meaning.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

Use literal matching for everyday edits or enable regular expressions for structured replacements. The tool reports how many matches were changed and catches invalid regular-expression syntax before producing output.

Lucaden performs this task in the browser so the source stays under your control. The result is created only after you request it, and nothing is saved to a Lucaden account by this tool.

Included capabilities

  • Literal or regular-expression search
  • Case-sensitive option
  • Replace one or every match
  • Match and replacement count

Useful for

  • Rename repeated labels
  • Clean imported text
  • Rewrite structured identifiers
  • Test regular expressions safely

Questions

About this tool

Can I replace line breaks?

Yes. Enable regular expressions and use patterns such as \n for line feeds.

Why did the replacement fail?

An invalid regular expression, such as an unclosed group, is rejected and shown as an error rather than modifying your text.
