How it works
Complete the job in three clear steps
- Choose the language direction and enter source text.
- Download or open the cached local translation model and translate the text on this device.
- Review, edit, copy, or download the result.

How it works
Important
Scan-test generated codes before printing or distribution. A generated barcode does not register identifier ownership, and decoded external links should be checked before opening.
Practical details
This French-to-English workspace uses a dedicated Marian neural translation model rather than a general writing prompt. Text is split into bounded passages so longer input does not exceed the model context.
The result is a new editable draft. Lucaden preserves the source field and does not claim certified or human-equivalent translation.
Questions
No. Network requests fetch the public runtime and pinned model files only. Translation inference runs on this device.
No. Review names, numbers, idioms, legal language, technical terms, tone, and high-stakes content with a qualified speaker.
Each language direction uses an on-demand quantized model. Supported browsers cache downloaded assets, while later inference still depends on device CPU and memory.
Open-source foundations
Lucaden documents its standards sources, architectural references, and permissive runtime dependencies while keeping this workspace consistent with the Lucaden interface.
