How it works
Complete the job in three clear steps
- Add a JPG, PNG, WebP, or BMP image to the local workspace.
- Choose the available options and create a representative color palette.
- Review, copy, or download the result before leaving the page.

How it works
Important
Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.
Practical details
Pinned Color Thief 3.5.0 samples local pixels and quantizes them in perceptual OKLCH or classic RGB space. Transparent pixels are ignored and images are never uploaded.
The transformation happens in browser memory and produces a new result without changing the source on your device.
Questions
It uses Color Thief's practical pixel sampling and color quantization, not a calibrated color-management measurement.
Quantization groups sampled pixels into representative color clusters so the result stays useful and compact.
Open-source foundations
Lucaden documents its standards sources, architectural references, and permissive runtime dependencies while keeping this workspace consistent with the Lucaden interface.
