How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Add JSON text to the private browser workspace.
  2. Choose the available settings and create validated formatted or minified JSON.
  3. Review the result, then copy or download it before leaving the page.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Review generated output before using it in production. Formatters and converters can validate structure, but they cannot understand every application-specific rule or guarantee that transformed content has the intended meaning.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

The formatter parses the complete document before creating output, so invalid JSON never masquerades as a successful result. You can choose readable indentation, recursively sort object keys, or minify data for transport.

Lucaden performs this task in the browser so the source stays under your control. The result is created only after you request it, and nothing is saved to a Lucaden account by this tool.

Included capabilities

  • Strict JSON validation
  • Two- or four-space indentation
  • Recursive object-key sorting
  • Compact minification

Useful for

  • Debug API payloads
  • Review configuration files
  • Create stable snapshot data
  • Reduce JSON transfer size

Questions

About this tool

Does this support comments?

No. Standard JSON does not allow comments, trailing commas, or unquoted keys, and the validator reports them as errors.

Will sorting change array order?

No. Sorting applies only to object keys; array values remain in their original order.

Open-source foundations

Built transparently
