How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Choose one PDF and header or footer text from your device.
  2. Set the page and output options, then create a PDF with page labels.
  3. Inspect the downloaded result before replacing or deleting the original document.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

Text is drawn inside configurable margins using a standard embedded font. Use {page} and {pages} tokens to insert the current and total page numbers into either line.

The document stays in browser memory during processing. Lucaden creates a new output file and never modifies the source on your device.

Included capabilities

  • Header and footer lines
  • Page number tokens
  • Page selection
  • Alignment and font size controls

Useful for

  • Add document titles
  • Insert confidentiality notices
  • Create page x of y labels
  • Mark department ownership

Questions

About this tool

Which tokens are supported?

Use {page} for the current page and {pages} for the total number of pages.

Can it avoid existing content?

Set an adequate margin and inspect the result; the tool cannot automatically detect every occupied header area.
