How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Choose a PNG image.
  2. Create an uncompressed TIFF image in temporary browser memory.
  3. Review and download the new file.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

The browser decodes the PNG to RGBA pixels and UTIF.js encodes those pixels as TIFF.

UTIF.js produces uncompressed TIFF output, so the result may be much larger than the PNG source.

Included capabilities

  • PNG input validation
  • RGBA pixel preservation
  • TIFF byte output
  • No remote conversion service

Useful for

  • Meet a TIFF upload requirement
  • Prepare a print-workflow copy
  • Test TIFF software
  • Create an archival interchange file

Questions

About this tool

Is my file uploaded?

No. TIFF decoding, image encoding, and document assembly run on this device.

Does it support multi-page TIFF files?

TIFF-to-image, PDF, and text routes process every decodable image page. Multi-page image results download as a ZIP.
