Free to use Uploaded images and camera frames are decoded locally and are not sent to Lucaden.

How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Upload a clear image or grant camera access.
  2. Place the complete QR code inside the preview area.
  3. Review decoded content and inspect any destination before choosing to open it.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Scan-test generated codes before printing or distribution. A generated barcode does not register identifier ownership, and decoded external links should be checked before opening.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

Uploaded QR images are decoded with the pinned jsQR pixel scanner first, with ZXing retained as a local fallback and camera engine.

Decoded links are shown for inspection and are never opened automatically.

Questions

About this tool

Will the scanner automatically open a link?

No. It shows the decoded content and destination host first, leaving the decision to open it with you.

Why can a scan fail?

Blur, glare, low contrast, missing corners, or a QR that is too small in the image can prevent reliable decoding.
