How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Add a query value, path fragment, or encoded string to the private browser workspace.
  2. Choose the available settings and create a standards-based encoded or decoded value.
  3. Review the result, then copy or download it before leaving the page.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Review generated output before using it in production. Formatters and converters can validate structure, but they cannot understand every application-specific rule or guarantee that transformed content has the intended meaning.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

Choose component mode for query values and individual path segments, or complete-URL mode when separators such as colons and slashes should remain readable. Invalid percent sequences are reported instead of silently producing damaged text.

Lucaden performs this task in the browser so the source stays under your control. The result is created only after you request it, and nothing is saved to a Lucaden account by this tool.

Included capabilities

  • URI component mode
  • Complete URL mode
  • Unicode-safe percent encoding
  • Invalid escape detection

Useful for

  • Build query parameters
  • Decode copied tracking URLs
  • Prepare safe path segments
  • Debug callback URLs

Questions

About this tool

Which mode should I use for a query parameter value?

Use component mode so characters such as ampersands, equals signs, and slashes cannot change the surrounding URL structure.

Why is a percent sign rejected?

A literal percent sign in encoded input must be followed by two hexadecimal digits or encoded as %25.
