How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Choose a media file from this device.
  2. Run the local MediaInfo inspection and review the detected streams.
  3. Copy or download the JSON report before closing the page.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.

Questions

About this tool

Does the filename extension prove the codec?

No. The extension usually describes a container. This tool reads the file structure to identify the contained streams.

Will every camera tag appear?

Only tags present in the file and recognized by MediaInfo can be reported.
