How it works
Complete the job in three clear steps
- Choose a browser-decodable audio file.
- Set the available options and create a transcript.
- Review and download or copy the result before leaving the page.

How it works
Important
Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.
Practical details
Whisper.wasm downloads a quantized OpenAI Whisper model and caches it in the browser, then runs speech recognition locally. The selected tiny model is roughly 31 MB, so the first run needs time and network data.
The original stays unchanged; Lucaden creates a separate result in browser memory.
Questions
No. The selected audio is decoded and transcribed locally. The model itself is downloaded from its public model host.
No. Review names, numbers, accents, overlapping speech, and noisy audio carefully.
Open-source foundations
Lucaden documents its standards sources, architectural references, and permissive runtime dependencies while keeping this workspace consistent with the Lucaden interface.
