How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Add an image and target dimensions to the private browser workspace.
  2. Choose the available settings and create a resized JPG, PNG, or WebP image.
  3. Review the result, then copy or download it before leaving the page.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

The pinned Pica runtime uses tiled MKS2013 resampling instead of a single canvas draw. Lock the source aspect ratio, choose optional output sharpening, and select PNG, JPG, or WebP before downloading.

Lucaden performs this task in the browser so the source stays under your control. The result is created only after you request it, and nothing is saved to a Lucaden account by this tool.

Included capabilities

  • Pica MKS2013 resampling
  • Exact pixels and aspect-ratio lock
  • Optional output sharpening
  • JPG, PNG, and WebP output

Questions

About this tool

Can enlarging restore missing detail?

No. Resizing can interpolate pixels but cannot recreate genuine source detail. Use an AI upscaler for that separate task.

Does resizing preserve metadata?

No. Canvas export creates a new image and normally removes EXIF and other embedded metadata.

Open-source foundations

Built transparently

Lucaden documents its standards sources, architectural references, and permissive runtime dependencies while keeping this workspace consistent with the Lucaden interface.
