How it works
Complete the job in three clear steps
- Choose a video file and trim times from your device.
- Set the timing or output options and create a trimmed MP4 video.
- Preview and download the result before closing the page.

How it works
Important
Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.
Practical details
The clip is decoded from the chosen start point and re-encoded to H.264 video with AAC audio for predictable playback. Re-encoding avoids keyframe-only cuts that begin at the wrong frame.
Lucaden writes the source into FFmpeg's temporary in-browser file system, creates the output, then removes both temporary files. The source media is not uploaded to Lucaden.
Questions
Yes. Decimal seconds are accepted for finer cuts.
Accurate trimming re-encodes the selected section in the browser.
Open-source foundations
Lucaden documents its standards sources, architectural references, and permissive runtime dependencies while keeping this workspace consistent with the Lucaden interface.
