How it works

Complete the job in three clear steps

  1. Add Unicode text or binary bytes to the local workspace.
  2. Choose the available options and create binary or decoded UTF-8 text.
  3. Review, copy, or download the result before leaving the page.

Important

Check the result before relying on it

Review generated output before using it in production. Formatters and converters can validate structure, but they cannot understand every application-specific rule or guarantee that transformed content has the intended meaning.

Practical details

What this Lucaden tool does

TextEncoder turns Unicode into UTF-8 bytes and TextDecoder reconstructs the original characters. Binary input accepts whitespace between eight-bit byte groups.

The transformation happens in browser memory and produces a new result without changing the source on your device.

Questions

About this tool

Why can one character use multiple bytes?

UTF-8 represents many non-ASCII characters with two to four bytes.

Is binary encryption?

No. It is a readable representation of bytes and provides no secrecy.
