How it works
Important
Keep an untouched copy of important source files. Browser processing depends on available device memory, and you should inspect every downloaded result before deleting the original.
Practical details
Web Audio decodes the file, Lucaden measures its highest sample peak, applies one constant gain, and writes a standard 16-bit PCM WAV. It does not perform loudness compression or mastering.
The original remains unchanged; Lucaden creates a separate result in browser memory.
Questions
No. It applies constant peak normalization, not broadcast loudness analysis or dynamic compression.
PCM WAV is uncompressed so it is widely editable but larger than MP3 or AAC.
